Dan Feyen is the Assistant Majority Leader of the Wisconsin State Senate. Elected in 2016, he represented the constituents of the 18th State Senate District, which included parts of Fond du Lac, Winnebago, and Dodge Counties. On February 27, 2024, Senator Feyen announced his campaign for the 20th Senate District, which encompasses portions of Dodge, Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington Counties. He won the primary election against Timothy Ramthun on August 13, 2024, securing 64.3% of the vote, and subsequently won the general election against Michael Rapp on November 5, 2024, with 70.1% of the votes. Senator Feyen was sworn into office for his third term on January 6, 2025, representing the citizens of the 20th Senate District.
As a member of the legislative leadership, Senator Feyen serves on the Committee on Senate Organization, the Joint Legislative Council, and the Joint Committee on Legislative Organization. He is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Government Operations, Labor, and Economic Development, the Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Utilities and Tourism, and a member of the Senate Committee on Universities and Technical Colleges. Additionally, he serves as Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Retirement Systems and is a member of the Joint Committee on Tax Exemptions.
In 2024, Senator Feyen was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Bi-Partisan Legislative Tech Caucus. Born and raised in New Holstein, Wisconsin, Senator Feyen attended Fox Valley Technical College, where he earned a degree in printing. He currently resides in Fond du Lac with his wife and has two children, both of whom graduated from UW-Madison.
