Smaller Smarter State Government
As your Senator, I’ll work to allow you to keep more of your hard earned money! Thanks to courageous leadership from Wisconsin's conservative majority, our state is heading in the right direction. We've fought fiercely to lower both property and income taxes even though our Governor has vetoed every income tax cut bill we sent to him this past session. Our tax cuts have saved our taxpayers billions of dollars over the past 8 years! I’ll work to balance our state budget just like you balance your family budget and ensure your money is NEVER wasted! During the 2019-20 session, Senator Feyen authored Opportunity Zones legislation that helps to encourage investors to keep their dollars in the state by investing in one of Wisconsin’s 120 Opportunity Zones. In the past session, we have passed several pieces of legislation that will help spur economic development in our state and finally eliminated the personal property tax for good! We won't quit here, there's more work to be done!
Ensuring Election Integrity
Governor Tony Evers may continue to veto many of our common-sense election reform bills, but Republicans in the legislature are pushing forward to enact meaningful measures. We are achieving this by amending the constitution, bypassing the need for Governor Evers' approval and putting the question directly to the voters. After successfully outlawing "Zuckerbucks" through a statewide vote in April, our next goal is to clarify that ONLY citizens can vote in elections. It's time to ensure that the voice of the citizens is rightfully protected in our electoral process.
Wisconsin Helping Secure our Southern Border
On February 20th, 2024, I supported SJR 117, which called on Governor Tony Evers to provide aid and resources to the U.S.-Mexico border to help with immigration efforts. Click the link below to access the full Senate Joint Resolution. It's crucial to secure our border to ensure the safety of Wisconsinites. We've begun to witness crimes committed by undocumented immigrants right here in the 20th SD, and we need to address this issue NOW!
Supporting ALL of our educational systems
The Republican majority in the legislature made a commitment in the 2023-2025 budget to prioritize education funding. We invested the most actual dollars ever invested in K-12 education. This funding remains a priority for me. My wife and I both graduated from technical colleges in Wisconsin. Our children are both public school and UW-Madison graduates. This funding provides our business community with an educated workforce is vital to Wisconsin's economic success.
Investing in transportation and infrastructure
I have been a consistent advocate for a sustainable solution to funding Wisconsin's infrastructure and am proud to have delivered on this campaign promise! The 2019-2021 Budget provided substantial increases for local roads, highways, and most importantly fully funded the Highway 23 expansion! We accomplished this with the lowest bonding rate in 20 years and a sustainable, fee-based funding mechanism that will support our infrastructure needs for generations to come! In the 2023-2025 State Budget we invested heavily $1.5 billion in infrastructure projects all across the state. This includes funding for many projects in the 20th Senate District.
Supporting our Farmers
Agriculture in Wisconsin provides $88.3 billion to the state’s economy annually and provides 413,500 jobs, or 11% of the state’s total employment. As your State Senator I'm working hard to help provide a business climate in Wisconsin that helps our agricultural producers
and suppliers flourish. We continue to invest in agricultural programs to grow supply chains, improve the environment, innovate and grow exports.
I will continue to partner with our farmers to find ways to reduce their regulatory burden and improve their profitability so we can retain our heritage as the dairy state!
I Support our Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, EMS Personnel and our Corrections Officers
Our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and correctional officers play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our communities. I am proud to be their ally in Madison! During my time as your State Senator, I successfully advocated for a substantial pay raise for correctional officers. I also worked to increase the starting wage to improve recruitment, reduce vacancy rates, and eliminate forced overtime. Additionally, I championed the creation of a length of service lump sum bonus payment. I am honored to have earned the endorsement of five County Sheriffs in the 20th Senate District.

I believe life is a precious gift that should be protected. I am 100% pro-life and support the efforts of pro-life groups in Wisconsin and across the nation.
I support Small Business
Our small businesses are the backbone of Wisconsin’s economy. I see too many businesses that are overburdened with job-killing regulations. Wisconsin has over 12,000 pages of administrative codes, including some that are over 100 years old, that are costly to comply with and act as a deterrent to business growth. Government shouldn't create jobs at the expense of taxpayers. I've worked carefully to ensure we're not further bloating the state bureaucracy in Madison to the detriment of the true job creators in the private sector.
2nd Amendment
We, as Americans, have the right to keep and bear arms. I stand by your right and will fight to keep unconstitutional, liberal, anti-gun policy proposals from seeing the light of day in Madison. I promise to fight any attack on your Second Amendment rights.Additionally, Wisconsin has a unique sporting heritage and family tradition of hunting across the state. I support Wisconsin sportsmen and will work to help pass this legacy down to the next generation.
Labor Shortage
The most popular sign I see when I drive through my district is "Help Wanted"! As a technical college graduate, I know the power of the trades to provide a living wage for a family and fuel Wisconsin's economy! I am committed to investing in worker training programs and increasing apprenticeship participation. Wisconsin must do everything in its power to attract and retain workers. I championed a comprehensive workforce marketing initiative and will continue to push for worker retention and attraction incentives.
